This is what I’ve been up to these days. Learning the art of beatmatching, mixing, scratching, etc. + electronic music production every Saturday at Zouk. I’ll talk more about my experience in another post once I’m done with the course but I’ve been having lots of fun and the best bit is that all of us get to play a gig at Phuture for our graduation bash!
I am extremely nervous and absolutely terrified of playing in front of an audience for the first time though so to all my IRL friends reading this, please come if you can! It’ll be held on 17 Oct at Phuture from 2 to 8pm. Admission is free. I’m not sure around what time I’ll be playing but if you’re interested in coming do let me know & I’ll give you more details. Your support would be greatly appreciated. :)
Oh god, so sorry for being away from tumblr for a looong time. Been ridiculously busy with school and stuff. But I’m finally having my school holidays now.
Anyway! Most of you probably won’t care but I celebrated my birthday a few days ago and made a Kid A bear pinata with my friends:
My real birthday is actually this friday but not all my friends are free on that day so we had to celebrate it earlier. The only day that all my friends happened to be free on was 7 Oct, which also happened to be Thom Yorke’s birthday. So I decided to do something Radiohead-related for my birthday party and that was what I did. :D
And yes, that’s me posing with the pinata in my new display pic.
"Art is like masturbation. It is selfish and introverted and done for you and you alone. Design is like sex. There is someone else involved, their needs are just as important as your own, and if everything goes right, both parties are happy in the end."

1. If you must drag them to a party, please don’t abandon them.
Don’t go rushing off to catch up with your other friends without including the introvert; the inny will die in a corner.
2. If they actually call and want to talk, listen!
These moments may not come often, since Innies usually work out their problems within their own brains, but that does not mean they are all Bella Swan “suffer in silence” types.
3. Realize that they do want to be alone sometimes.
They may have gone to that party, and even enjoyed it, but they burn out faster than you and need time to recharge alone. The assumption that all introverts are shy really bugs me. This is not always the case. They can be charming, tell jokes, and generally be the life of the party…but for a limited time only.
4. Skip the small talk.
Introverts are reflective beings and enjoy conversations about feelings and debating things like the ontological argument, and whatever interests they have. They can only tolerate chitchat with people they just met or haven’t seen for awhile. If you must tell them your entire jam-packed weekend in detail, check your inny friend for signs of consciousness periodically.
5. Introverts don’t hate people.
They just find them tiring.
6. Introverts are socially aware.
Yes, we are well-versed in social nuances, customs, and mannerisms; we just don’t implement them as frequently as extroverts do.
This is hilariously true.
haha this is all too true for me
